Our Gear

Podcasters’ Emporium is recorded via Skype with hosts in separate studios in different parts of the country. The sound quality you hear in the program is a combination of our gear, technique and post production, all of which is achievable by podcasters in a home recording environment.

Dave Gray uses Xenyx 1002FX mixer with a Shure PG-48 microphone and MX Skype Recorder to capture audio into his PC.

James Williams uses Alesis iMultimix8 digital mixer with Australian-made Rode NT1-A microphones. Audio is recorded into his PC using a direct USB connection from the mixer. Skype is managed from the computer into the mixer and then recorded back out into the PC.

Want us to try out and promote your gear?  We are willing to provide an honest assessment of your products to our listeners. Product manufacturers and marketers should refer to the Partner with Us section of the website.
