‘Where to Ski?’ answered by new audio podcast

SYDNEY, Australia. – 29 July, 2010 – Lifestyle PodNetwork – Australia’s fastest growing podcast network, today announced the launch of The Snow Report Podcast.  The Lifestyle PodNetwork launched The Snow Report Podcast to provide quick access to snow conditions and ski resort reports from Australian and New Zealand resorts – in a convenient audio podcast format.

The Snow Report Podcast is designed to provide a valuable resource to skiers and boarders who are looking to make a choice of resort.  Episodes are produced daily and released each morning by 7.30am (AEST), they cover conditions at each major resort in New South Wales, Victoria and New Zealand.

The Snow Report Podcast is a short, digestible audio podcast designed to provide clarity on resort conditions and provide a single source of truth for resort conditions.  The show is hosted by Lifestyle PodNetwork founder, and ski fanatic, James Williams.

“The show answers the simple question of ‘Where will I ski today’”, explains show host James Williams.

“The Snow Report Podcast is compiled from resort conditions early-morning on the day of the report, and provides a comprehensive picture of the best places to ski that day,” he continued.

The Snow Report Podcast can be accessed and enjoyed at the listener’s convenience.  To increase accessibility, there are six ways a person can listen to the podcast on the www.snowreportpodcast.com website.

Listen Now: The user may click an embedded website player that immediately plays the selected episode.

Play in Popup: This will launch an audio player in a separate window. This is a good option if the user wants to keep browsing the website or another website while the podcast is playing.

Audio MP3 download: This will play the MP3 file within the user’s browser, or the user can download the file to their computer and save the episode to their MP3 player and listen at their convenience.

Subscribe with iTunes: This will register the podcast for automatic download in iTunes software, which is free software available for Mac and PC. Once downloaded the podcast can be transferred to an iPod, iPhone or iPad and heard when convenient to the listener.  Future episodes will be downloaded automatically to iTunes when they become available.

Subscribe with Zune: This option automatically downloads the podcast for users of the Microsoft Zune player. With a single click the most recent episode is downloaded and future episodes will be downloaded automatically when they are released.

Subscribe by RSS: Site visitors who don’t use iTunes or Zune software who wish to receive new episodes immediately may also subscribe to the podcast’s RSS feed via podcasting software like Juice.

The Snow Report Podcast team is currently working on an iPhone application so that the podcast will be available on the iPhone without any additional software or connections required.
